Tomás Mateus has established himself as one of Portugal's leading junior riders, consistently delivering strong performances on the national scene while steadily gaining valuable experience in international competition. His growing palmarès includes an impressive 8th place overall at the Vuelta a Besaya, as well as two top-10 finishes in the prestigious Région Sud junior classics, confirming his ability to perform at a high level against some of the best riders of his generation.

As he completes his final junior season in 2026, Tomás still has important objectives to achieve before making the step up to the U23 ranks in 2027. A modern climber with an explosive finishing kick, he combines strong climbing abilities with an impressive turn of speed, making him a versatile rider well suited to the demands of today's international racing. His ambition is to continue his development by competing in the biggest U23 races and establishing himself among the sport's next generation of talent.
